Ceramic baby name plate

Have you ever heard of the artist Jamie Risdon Lentzner? I know that I hadn’t until I stumbled upon her name when I was searching for a ceramic baby name plate.

A baby name plate is a little plate with the baby’s name on it. Most are given away as gifts at baby showers, birthdays or similar events. If you’re a parent and you have more than one child you can just go buy one for each of them to hang on the door to their rooms.

Baby name plates come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and are made of different materials. The plate is personalized to a certain extent depending on whether you are looking for a unique handmade one-of-a-kind plate or a standard mass produced plate will do.

I mentioned the artist Jamie above and the reason for that is that she creates beautiful ceramic baby name plates on her site BonnyBabies.com. Jamie has featured in both the Parent Magazine and in the Wall Street Journal.

You can choose from around 30 different designs and then just have the name of your baby added to the plate. Shipment is within 2-3 weeks so if you are to use it for a birthday gift you better plan ahead.

She has also created plates in a 3D design. They cost a bit more but are so much more than the ordinary so it might be money well spent. Some of the designs are with cute boy prams and girl prams and she has even designed one with a little mermaid.

Ceramic plates are not the only plates available but you'll need to click on the link above to read the rest of the article.
